Self Confidence - Self Esteem - Self Respect

Through the fundamental principles of Wah Lum Kung Fu, children develop physical, mental, and emotional balance and strength. Learning through movement not only builds a healthy body but also provides a physical way of knowledge that is appropriate, effective, and fun.

Utilizing the curriculum of Wah Lum Kung Fu, we teach the fundamentals of movement:

  • Focus: the ability to willfully hold one's attention.
  • Groundedness: the ability to create physical strength by relying on the ground.
  • Balance: the ability to express motion while remaining centered.
  • Power: the ability to express strength and energy in a controlled manner.

These underlying principles of movement are at the core of martial arts, dance, and all athletics, and form the basis for physical self-confidence. All the varying drills, games, forms, and exercises children learn in class are geared toward teaching these core fundamentals in a safe, non-competitive environment.

Wah Lum Kung Fu offers programs appropriate for youngsters 6 years old and up.
